OK, I got hustled…
I will have more stories next week. I had to take a break from the road this week because my grandpappy passed away so I flew home to Seattle… But I still felt compelled to write.
As some of you may already know and are just too kind to say anything I’m not as hardcore street wise as I appear. It was recently brought to my attention that Lincoln’s “poem” is actually part of a song by DMX. And if ya didn’t know thats ok because it was off of one of his more recent albums and he hasn’t done anything worth really listening to since his first album “It’s Dark and Hell is Hot”… where my dog’s at? arf! arf! thats all I’m saying. At first I didn’t believe it either because what homeless guy that you know would ever make shit up in order to get a few bucks? I know, it takes some convincing but if you don’t believe me my friend sent me an email with the lyrics attached…

Of course Lincolns poem is longer and probably a P-Diddeley like remix of other rap songs he has memorized to cloak himself in the disguise of Christianity, or maybe he made the rest up an used DMX as inspiration. After all I hear he left the music biz to be a preacher. I don’t know… What I do know is that this makes the whole experience that much funnier!
Sorry I don’t have any pictures this time but I have more on the way. I just want you all to know what an idiot I am, in case you were not already aware!

in that video you looked like you were stuck in the middle of a “rock” and a hard place. that was a “hard” place to perform. the crowd was very sedimentary. isn’t that a rock reference. you were definitely “boulder” than i could ever be. i think fred flintstone did a gig there once.
